Roti Platters

The Design

During the lockdown, I became frustrated at my inability to make perfectly circular rotis. As I was rolling out dough, I started questioning why it was important for me to have a stack of concentric circles. My goal behind this project was to challenge our perceptions of perfection through the seemingly mundane activity of making rotis. The platters are part of a series of objects that were created to study the relationship between the pursuit of perfection and how it is inculcated into our daily lives.
