The ritual of using agarbatti ( incense sticks ) in cultural and religious occasions is a long held tradition in India.
The process of how incense is produced, in which a paste is rolled or moulded around a bamboo stick, is the core design driver for the “Agarbatti” table. The use of natural steam beech wood is reflective of the organic material used in the sticks themselves (such as charcoal dust and bark) whereas the elegant metal frame supports the weight and gives an overall sense of form, balance and proportion.
The table top and legs are both crafted from the same wood and shaped in a wooden lathe to enhance the delicate nature of Agarbatti, as well as to create a natural form which shows the beauty of the wood itself.
This high table works for residential and commercial spaces, adding a sense of strength and beauty within its surrounding.
