Bombay Atelier is a Mumbai & Auckland based product design studio founded by Farzin Adenwalla, a designer of Indian-Persian descent, born and raised in New Zealand.

Her focus is on creating functional aesthetic objects which tell a story. Exposure to architecture and design growing up in New Zealand and India has translated into a unique design language that has received international acclaim from Milan to Sydney.

Farzin’s interest lies in the boundaries between creative disciplines, and she has worked with fashion designers and filmmakers to bring a fresh innovative perspective to the brand. The forms, constructional details and materials used possess Farzin’s vision for creating classic and sustainable products, together with a small team of artisans and engineers.

As Bombay Atelier grows, working on a variety of themes in a broader cultural space, the focus remains on an ongoing development of strong design language. As an emerging design studio, Bombay Atelier has already received media attention from several leading design publications including Domus, Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, Contemporist and Financial Times.
